We’re excited to introduce the new VAR (Video Assistant Replay) veta feature in CameraFi Live for Android! 🙌

It lets you revisit and review key moments frame by frame — perfect for live sports, games, and event broadcasts.



1. What is VAR?

VAR (Video Assistant Replay) lets you:

  • Navigate video frame by frame
  • Rewatch key moments instantly
  • Adjust playback speed for detailed scene analysis

📌 This is especially useful for sports broadcasting, game streams, or any content that requires precise scene analysis.


2. How to Use the VAR Feature

VAR Video Analysis Features:

  • Seek Bar: Frame-by-frame playback (30fps = 1 frame per 0.033s), adjust speed (0.1x / 0.5x / 1.0x)
  • Sidebar: Draw with the pen tool and take screenshots
  • Zoom: Pinch to zoom in and out to inspect details more clearly



1) Using VAR While Recording

  1. Open the app, select the VAR platform, then tap [START]
  2. Tap [GO] at the bottom to start recording
  3. Tap the [VAR] button at the top right while recording to stop and automatically switch to the VAR playback screen.
  4. You can use the VAR analysis features to analyze your video and review the results.
  5. After finishing your review, tap [Close] or [Back] to return to the camera screen.

📌 Note: If you use the Source Switcher to load a video for VAR analysis while recording, the analysis screen might appear in the VAR video.




2) Reviewing a Saved Video with VAR

  1. Launch the app → Select VAR platform → Tap [START]
  2. Tap the [Source Switcher] icon at the bottom right
  3. Tap the [Add +] button and select a saved video
  4. The selected video will open in the VAR playback screen
  5. You can use the VAR analysis features to analyze your video and review the results.
  6. When you're finished, tap [Close] or [Back] to return to the camera screen.



🎥 Want more precise analysis?

he VAR feature lets you analyze videos frame by frame.
Even for the same scene, a 60fps video captures more frames than 30fps,
allowing you to pinpoint the ball's position or brief contact moments more accurately.

👉 For better analysis, record in 60fps.

3. What You Can Do with VAR

  1. You can instantly review key moments missed during sports, events, or game broadcasts.
  2. Check the footage frame by frame to make accurate, objective calls on things like ball position or brief contact
  3. Zoom in and out on the recorded video to see the details more clearly.
  4. All VAR videos are automatically saved to your phone and can be used for match records or review materials.
  • File save location: Internal Storage/DCIM/CameraFiLive/video
